Microsoft Teams grows, has 75 million users

Telework and distance learning give wings to Microsoft Teams. The platform for making video calls has reached 75 million active daily users, with a growth of 70% compared to 44 million users announced six weeks ago.

The figure was highlighted by the CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella, on the occasion of the presentation of the quarterly tax results. In comparison, Google Meet has 100 million daily users and Zoom has 300 million, according to reports from the two companies in recent days.

"This month, we saw 200 million people participate in video meetings in one day, generating 4.1 billion minutes of meetings," Nadella said.

In March, he added, 34 million meetings on Teams in the healthcare sector. 183 thousand schools and 20 large organizations with more than 100 thousand employees also used the app.
