"Israel will invest $ 60 million in international effort to curb corona epidemic," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Monday at an EU-wide international coordination meeting.
Netanyahu did not elaborate on how the resources would be distributed, but stated that he believed that advanced research in Israel could contribute to the most important task, which was to find a vaccine for Corona. Netanyahu also said in a live broadcast, attended by dozens of leaders who took part in the international digital meeting, that "in Israel the number of the dead is relatively low, but it is clear to everyone that we are only at the beginning."

What are the "bumpers" everyone is talking about?
About a month ago, the director of the Biological Research Institute, Prof. Shmuel Shapiro, updated on the progress of the Institute's research and development efforts on vaccine and antibody promotion. A manager noted that significant progress has been made in vaccine promotion planning and the Institute is preparing for model development for animal experimentation. At the same time, other initiatives in Israel have been made to find a vaccine and cure for the spreading virus, but findings have not yet been published that demonstrate significant progress on the issue.
