The Ministry of Health reported 104  new cases of coronavirus infection and 14 deaths in the last 24 hours.

In the morning report of the portfolio, three new deaths were reported. A man, 53 years old, residing in the province of Buenos Aires; and two women, one 94 years old, resident in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA); and another 91, resident in the province of Córdoba.

The Aresco consultancy, which measures the evolution of the quarantine since its inception, reflected that state of mind. Their last work, carried out on April 30 in the City and the Suburbs, on 2101 cases, concluded that 48% demand greater flexibility. That is: there are more exceptions that allow more economic activities.

The stretching of the quarantine and the relative low number of cases and deaths from coronavirus, put the Buenos Aires Government in a bankrupt situation. Starting next week , the functioning of certain activities will become more flexible and a new health curve could begin to be followed : with the vaccine still a distant dream, some ministers suggest "immunizing the population" in a natural and controlled way. The issue sparked strong internal controversy.

Diego Santilli , the deputy chief of the City, denied that there is a decision taken: " We do not have a controlled contagion strategy . Every time we open something we are going to measure how it affects the number of cases. These days we are going to define what proposals we will take to it Alberto Fernández for flexibility, because being a district with more than 500,000 inhabitants, he has to authorize us, "he assured this newspaper. The new term will run from May 11 .
