After the success of the Netflix documentary "Tiger King", Carole Baskin did not want to give interviews. With the help of a lie, two YouTubers managed to talk to her.

  • The Netflix documentary "Tiger King" is particularly well received by American Netflix users.
  • In addition to the former zoo owner Joe Exotic , activist Carole Baskin is also in the focus of the media.
  • She refused all interview requests - except for one.

Carole Baskin does not like the fact that the Netflix documentary "Tiger King" (in German: " Big cats and their predators" ) is so popular worldwide. Although the eccentric zoo owner Joe Exotic is the focus of the production, the creators do not give the animal rights activist, who almost became a victim of a murder plot, a bad hair.

"Tiger King" on Netflix: That's why Carole Baskin doesn't want to give interviews

Carole Baskin's dark past never leaves Netflix under the table. Instead, the makers of the documentary take up, among other things, the mysterious disappearance of her husband , who has not been found to date. According to rumors, Baskin is said to have murdered him and fed her big cats.

The fact that the mini-series deals in particular with this topic prompted the activist to publish a furious statement * on her homepage. With that, everything is said on their part. She strictly rejects interviews about "Tiger King" *, even if well-known newspapers and media companies ask for it.

After the success of "Tiger King": YouTubers manage to interview Carole Baskin

Ultimately, Baskin agreed to give a zoom interview. British YouTubers  Josh Pieters and Archie Manners had the honor to speak to the activist. But what Baskin didn't know was that the two of them led her around neatly.

Throughout the interview, the "Tiger Queen" thought she was talking to "The Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon . To keep the charade going, the YouTubers brought in questions Fallon has asked in previous shows. An effort that was worth it, because Baskin did not notice that she was lied to.

But why did she choose an interview where she previously rejected all offers? One prerequisite had to be fulfilled: Pieters and Manners pledged from the start not to ask any questions about the Netflix documentary - and they stuck to it. Instead, they talked about the coronavirus pandemic and Baskin's favorite topic, namely their big cats .
