On this 50th day of confinement, France records another 330 new deaths in 24 hours due to the coronavirus, announced the Directorate General of Health (DGS) in a statement on Tuesday. Since the start of the epidemic, 25,531 people have died from Covid-19 in the country.
In detail, the DGS counts 16,060 deaths in hospitals and 9,471 in medico-social establishments, in particular in nursing homes.
Currently, 24,775 patients remain hospitalized in the country to date due to SARS-CoV-2 infection. In 24 hours, 987 new admissions were registered.
266 fewer patients in intensive care
In intensive care units, the decline started more than three weeks ago continues with 266 fewer patients this Monday, according to the DGS, but nearly 3,430 patients are hospitalized in intensive care.
"Since the start of the epidemic, 94,191 people have been hospitalized, 52,736 people have returned home, not to mention the tens of thousands of people healed in the city," adds the DGS.
