Good news for all those longing for "The Last of Us 2" wait: Sony has today in the official PlayStation blog new release date  announced for the game. The second part of the atmospheric zombie game will appear on June 19, 2020  with just a month's delay. Originally, May 29 was the release date. Due to the spread of the corona virus, the appointment had to be postponed. Fortunately, it's only a few weeks.

"I would like to personally congratulate the two teams at Naughty Dog  and Sucker Punch Productions on their success and thank them. We know that it is not easy to reach the finish line under these circumstances," PlayStation boss Hermen Hulst said in the Blog post.

Neither Sony nor Naughty Dog apparently know when "The Last of Us Part II" will be released . Fans now have to be patient and hope that the global situation will calm down soon. It was planned that "The Last of US Part II *" will be released for Playstation 4 on May 29, 2020. Under certain circumstances, the postponement could even result in a release on the Playstation 5 *.
