Most hairdressers will reopen their doors on May 11 due to more flexible confinement rules. Alexandre Protti, manager of the Maniatis trade show in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, is already overwhelmed with reservations: "The first day is already very very busy".
A few days before raising the curtain again, this hairdresser has already prepared the details of a daily life upset by the virus. "Hop there, we're not bad," he jokes, putting on a transparent plastic blouse soon to be offered to customers, along with a bathrobe, towel and disposable mask.
For his part, he will no longer be able to handle scissors, dyes and hair dryers without a mask, glasses and a few disinfection bottles. Equipment and furniture will be cleaned after each cut to avoid contamination.
"We will be forced to work every other job"
"And then there is also the regulatory distance between each client which is one meter", enumerates this blonde with glasses, "so we will be forced to work one shift out of two".
The show will also make sure to space appointments through online reservations, while extending its opening hours. Other adjustments: magazines will be deleted, as will the preparation of hot drinks in cups.

"The core business is not going to change, but there are small things that we are in the process of changing," concludes Alexandre Protti.
