Pairing Bluetooth devices can be annoying. Sometimes you won't find a smartphone or headphones, then you should enter some code. It's easier.
Berlin (dpa / tmn) - Bluetooth pairing can also be easy. With the fast coupling function (Fast Pair) from Android, a tap is all it takes. This has worked since version 6 of the operating system.
Prerequisite: Smartphone or tablet must support Low Energy Mode (BLE), which is the case from Bluetooth version 4.2. And, of course, the device to be connected must also be BLE-capable.
If all of this is fulfilled, only Bluetooth and location detection need to be activated on the mobile device. Then it is sufficient to put Bluetooth accessories such as headphones in pairing mode and place them directly next to the device. After that, you simply wait for a notification on the smartphone display and finally only have to touch the "Tap for pairing" button.
