This certificate from the school will only be compulsory from June 2, since until then, schooling will only take place from

Every day, Le Parisien is mobilized to answer your questions around the coronavirus. We are interested today in the questioning of one of our readers: "Can we continue to babysit until June 1 while being partially unemployed, without providing a certificate from the school stating that taking in school load is not possible? "

Regarding the start of the school year, the Ministry of Labor has distinguished two phases. First, between May 11 and June 2, the recovery is done gradually, only parents who wish can put their child in school and some will still be closed.

During this phase, “we do not change anything, because things will not yet be very stable, explains the ministry. Parents who benefited from partial unemployment because they looked after their children will continue to benefit from it if they do not put them in school. ” And this, without the need to provide a certificate, since schooling is done only on a voluntary basis. Companies don't have to ask for one.

From June 2, certificate or day off

Then, from June 2, should follow a second phase, - only if the deconfinement happens as the ambition of the government - where the schools will be able to offer a welcome normally more stable and a better visibility to the parents. So, “there is no longer any reason not to put your child in school,” maintains the ministry of Muriel Pénicaud. This time, parents who will not send their children to school but who would like to benefit from partial unemployment will be asked to provide a certificate from the school, explaining that the child cannot be taken care of. If necessary, they will have to take a day off because they will no longer be part of the unemployed.
