A nephrologist doctor at a Mulhouse dialysis center died of the Covid-19

Aged about sixty, Doctor Abdelmajid Ben Aicha, nephrologist at the Diaverum center, installed at the Emile-Muller hospital in Mulhouse "died of the consequences of Covid-19", said the Diaverum France dialysis center, confirming information from the newspaper L'Alsace.

Since March 2015, he has worked as a nephrologist within this establishment.

According to another doctor at the center, Doctor Ben Aicha worked until April 7 before being hospitalized. According to his colleague, Doctor Ben Aicha had intervened towards the end of March to reanimate a patient infected by the Covid who had made him faint in his office.

"To resuscitate a patient, you have to take off their mask and in these cases, you no longer think of transmission, you only think of saving the patient," explains his colleague.

Since the start of the epidemic, five other doctors in Alsace have died.
