(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 07 - The ECB continues "undisturbed" in the face of the decision of the German constitutional judgments to declare clarifications to the Governing Council in the absence of which the Bundesbank will not be able to take part in the purchase of colPspp bonds.
The president of Eurotower, Christine Lagarde, said during a webinar hosted by Bloomberg, after detecting the "strong blow" caused by the economic shock of the pandemic to the European economy.
Lagarde explained that the ECB will continue doing "whatever is necessary in pursuing its mandate", and what the institutional aspects have reiterated: "we are a European institution responsible for the European Parliament and guided by its mandate, price stability, and subject to the jurisdiction of the European Court of Justice.
