"Can I move to the South?"

2020-05-08T14:57:20.452Z

Moves were possible during conditional containment. The government wants to facilitate them.

Every day, Le Parisien is mobilized to answer your questions around the coronavirus. Today we are interested in the questioning of Aline, who asks us if it will be possible to move to the south of France from May 11.

The screw will be loosened on May 11. The country is starting to get confused with new movement rules. Some will return to work, others plan to implement projects postponed due to restrictive measures. This may be the case for our reader who therefore wishes to move to the south of the country.

Before deconfinement, only moves that could not be postponed were authorized. On its website, the government specified that it was necessary to "contact the police or the gendarmerie" to report the move and inquire as to whether there are specific local restrictions. It was also necessary to have a certificate on your honor, justifying the trip on the grounds of a non-reportable move, and indicating the date and the two addresses of departure and destination.

Government facilitates moves

As of May 11, the rules of the game will change somewhat. For a move within a radius of less than 100 kilometers, no certificate will be claimed. Beyond that, the rules which prevailed during confinement will be applied. The government has decided to issue an order to allow moves on the Ascension and Pentecost holidays, Le Figaro said .

Moving trucks weighing more than 7.5 tonnes, once loaded, will exceptionally be allowed to run from Wednesday May 20 at 4 p.m. until Thursday May 21, 2020 at midnight for Ascension, and from Sunday May 31 2020 from 10 p.m. until Monday, June 1, 2020 at midnight, for the Pentecost weekend.

If Aline wants to use their services, the movers will not be subject to the 100 km rule, said the union chamber of the move. They must not be more than two and must be equipped with masks.
