(ANSA) - BUENOS AIRES, MAY 9 - In less than 48 hours Americalatina added another 20,000 infections to its death toll from the dacoronavirus pandemic, reaching 342,818 cases today, and 1,300 deaths, for a total of 18,692. This is what emerges from a statistic elaborated by ANSA for 34 nations and Latin American territories.
Despite the absence of today's data, Brasilesi confirms the country most affected with 145,328 infected and 9,897 deaths, followed by Peru (65,015 and 1,814) and Ecuador (29,071 and 1,717).
In the ranking with more than 5,000 infections, Mexico is therefore aligned with a high number of deaths compared to the infected (31,522 and 3,160), Chile (27,219 and 304), Colombia (10,051 and 428), the Dominican Republic (9,882 and 385), Panama (8,070 and 231) and Argentina (5,611 and 293).
