Private home Ashdod left the army and flying big trip in South America. During the trip it's virus also originated in South America and had to cut my trip short and return to Israel. In the case of an aura, the arrival of the virus and shortening the trip worked in her favor after what turned out sounding, shortly after her return.

Couple Days after she returned to stay in solitary confinement in her home, she began to feel itchy on foot, which at first seemed like an innocent mosquito bite. After about five days, I saw a huge bite in the pink and it scraped me crazy. I did not suspect too much, I thought it was just a normal bite and then suddenly after two weeks I noticed a small foot path in the foot, every morning I would see this trail getting longer and longer "

Luckily, she came across a post from one of the travelers on the "Mochiller" Facebook group, "This is an alert post, if you are back from Brazil and itchy, you should check out" The hiker describes exactly the same symptoms and then she realized that something was wrong already.

"At first, I came under pressure because I knew I had a worm in my leg, a living being inside my body," Hila says. Following the outbreak of the virus, Hila was anxious to get to the clinic and after consulting the doctors through the video, she was referred to an infection specialist who explained to her, "It's a migratory worm that gets into your skin and actually lives there. It starts like a microscopic egg that gets caught in the leg and penetrates the skin, and then It develops within the body "

There are quite a few similar cases of travelers who suffered from the same problem after traveling in the area. Talking to Hila, she tells how to know and should be tested, "If you are returning from a trip to South America or other tropical areas like Thailand, India and more and you feel unusually local itch, you should go check it out. In most cases, the migratory worm remains under the skin, But in rare cases, it can wander the body, with the bloodstream, and cause damage. This happens to many travelers in tropical areas. "

How, though, can you avoid and reduce the possibility of worm penetration into the body? Hila says that throughout her stay in Brazil's spectacular beaches, she used to walk barefoot: "It happens to anyone who walks barefoot on the beaches. I have traveled with a friend and I would always walk barefoot and my girlfriend walked with shoes. "In my case, the treatment was with pills that kill the worm, in other cases it could also come to surgery."
