As you would expect, these three tracks will be part of the American's new album, his 39th since its debut in 1961, Rough & Rowdy Ways , which will be released on June 19. It has been eight years since the musician, one of the most influential of the past half century, had offered original songs.

We had to go back to the 1990s to find such a large gap between two original Dylan albums: between Under the Red Sky and Time out of Mind , seven years had passed, punctuated by two records of covers of folk standards this time. Murder Most FOul , an impressive 17-minute fresco retracing the history of the United States since the assassination of Kennedy, showed the man more inspired than ever. I Contain Multitudes sounds like a self-portrait of the most mysterious man in show business, and False Prophet is a stone in the garden of those who wanted to make the singer the prophet of the Woodstock generation and other nonsense of this kind.
