As if there were: the burger patty, i.e. minced meat. Then there are cheese, onions, mustard, cucumber and ketchup. And of course the burger bun.

To make it soupy, we replace the ketchup with tomatoes (mashed and chunks). And bring some vegetable broth into play. A little paprika powder, cream and garlic is needed to refine it, but that's about it.

  • 1 kg ground beef
  • 5 onions
  • 4 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp paprika powder
  • 500 g of mashed tomatoes
  • 400 pieces of tomatoes
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 200 g cheddar
  • 1.4 l vegetable broth
  • 200 ml cream
  • 3 tsp mustard
  • 5 pickles (large)
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • Salt (for seasoning)
  • Pepper (for seasoning)
  • 1 bunch of fresh parsley

How to prepare the cheeseburger soup:

  • First the sunflower oil is heated in a saucepan and the minced meat, then the chopped onions and the chopped garlic are fried in it.
  • Season with paprika powder and tomato paste. It can also be roasted a little.
  • Then stir in the mustard and the finely chopped pickles as well as the chunky and mashed tomatoes.
  • Pour in vegetable broth and let simmer for about 20 minutes.
  • Then add the cream and the finely grated cheddar and stir in.
  • Simmer on a low flame until the cheese has melted.
  • Finally, cut the burger buns into cubes and roast them in butter.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste and enjoy with the finely chopped parsley and the roasted burger bun cubes.
