Initially postponed from May to September 2020 due to coronavirus, the 20th edition of the International Cibus Food Exhibition was rescheduled for next year, from 4 to 7 May 2021. The decision was made by Fiere di Parma and Federalimentare, in agreement with the Agency Ice and the companies in the agri-food chain.
The announcement today in a video conference with the protagonists of the sector. However, in September this year a new appointment will be held in Parma, a forum dedicated to the challenges that the health emergency poses to the food and beverage sector: it will be both physical - with an ad hoc protocol to guarantee distances and Covid era security - both streaming. An online showcase for exhibiting companies will start tomorrow.
For the conduct of Cibus, the organizers explain, "it was found that there are no objective conditions to be able to ensure that the Show will be held in September, maintaining the incoming qualitative and quantitative standards, especially abroad, at the level of the usual expectations of the exhibiting companies, stakeholders and institutional partners ".
