The violent weather that affects a large part of the country, the Southwest in particular, continues on Monday. Météo France thus keeps the Landes and the Gironde in red vigilance (level 4 of 4). Twenty-six other departments remain vigilant orange (level 3 of 4).

The Baïse, Agout and Thoré basins are also under surveillance. The upstream Adour and the Gave d'Oloron should remain at moderate overflow levels.

Hundreds of firefighters' interventions and roads cut. The prefecture of New Aquitaine and the Gironde reports that 321 interventions of the emergency services have already taken place at 6.30 am on Monday, mainly for flooded premises. No casualties were reported; 19 people had to be "put in safety".

Secondary roads are cut in the south of the Gironde, the Libournais and the Haute-Gironde. It is recommended to limit travel there.
