(ANSA) - BOLZANO, MAY 13 - Vienna is slowing down on the reopening of the border with Italy. "In some countries, such as Italy and Spain, restrictions on internal travel are still in force. For this reason, the closure of the travelers' borders may take a little longer". This was stated by the Austrian Tourism Ministry Elisabeth Koestinger. "Everything will depend on the rate of infection," added the popular party official in an interview on Orf radio, instead suggesting the timely opening of the borders to the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Germany. Koestinger has confirmed that from 15 May cross-border traffic to Germany will be facilitated for work reasons and for family visits, while from 15 June, "in the event of a positive data trend", the borders between Austria and Germany should definitely open.
