The confinement has caused a decrease in drug trafficking between 30 and 40%, said Christophe Castaner at a press conference at the headquarters of the Anti-narcotic Office (Ofast) in Nanterre this Friday, May 15.
The Minister of the Interior, however, warns against anchoring "new practices", such as cannabiculture or the uberization of trafficking reinforced by social networks, namely orders and home delivery of drugs.
Christophe Castaner also added that the 55 days of confinement could "awaken or exacerbate" the rivalries between traffickers due to the contraction of the drug market.
