(ANSA) - ATHENS, MAY 18 - After two months of lockdown, the Acropolis of Athens and the most important archaeological sites in Greece have reopened today.
Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou attended the reopening of the Acropolis this morning. As the government announced on May 7, museums will return to welcome visitors starting June 15.
Today, high schools have also reopened in the country, while on June 1st it will be the turn of cafes, bars, taverns and summer cinemas that operate outdoors.
According to data from the American university Johns Hopkins, 163 people have died so far from coronavirus in Greece out of a total of 2,834 confirmed cases.
