Collective performance agreements will multiply in the coming months

The system, redesigned by the 2017 Labor ordinances, makes it possible to modify the organization of companies to adapt it to the economic situation.


It's the next step. After two months of almost total cessation of activity, it is obvious for the unions of employees: their employers will want to negotiate, to rebound at the end of the crisis and thus ensure the long-term survival of their structures, agreements of collective performance (APC). The system, inspired by the job retention agreements (MEAs) created at the start of the Holland five-year period, aims to provide businesses with the flexibility they need to adapt quickly to the economic situation. Concretely, an APC is an agreement, signed with unions representing the majority of employees, which makes it possible to review all or part of the conditions and organization of work for a given duration: level of remuneration, place and duration of work, team functioning…
