“We will stick to our demands. We are always present and determined so that the voices of field staff are heard and not only that of the same layers accustomed to the corridors of the Ministry. See you on June 16 in the street! ” can we read in the message posted on Twitter.

“We will use all of our imagination to organize one or more gatherings allowing the collective expression of caregivers and users, adapted to the rules that will be in force. Thank you for your support !" is it specified by the Inter-Urgences collective in another tweet.

"Popular mobilization"

" We will meet on June 16 with all the citizens who support the carers, for a beautiful popular mobilization (in the respect of the barrier measures) in order to have hospitals which meet the health needs of the population" , writes de his side the SNPI CFE-CGC (National Union of Nursing Professionals), also on Twitter.

In total, a dozen union or professional organizations called to mobilize on June 16: the CGT, the Amuf (Association of Emergency Physicians of France), the APH (Hospital Practitioners Action), SUD Health Social, UNSA Santé-sociales, CFE-CGC Santé-Social, Inter-bloc, Inter-Hospital and Inter-Emergency groups, Printemps de la psychiatrie and the National Coordination of Defense Committees for hospitals and nearby maternity hospitals.

The demands of caregivers have been hammered for several months, long before the outbreak of the current health crisis. Hospital staff want more equipment, a salary increase of 300 euros per month for paramedics (nursing assistants, nurses, paramedics ...), 10,000 additional full-time positions, the end of bed closings or the end of "accounting logic". These demands were expressed during several national demonstrations, notably on November 14, 2019 and February 14, 2020.
