(ANSA) - BUDAPEST, MAY 19 - Hungary has banned registration of gender change in marital status and legal recognition of gender identity of transgender people. A legislative amendment, which defines the genre for "birth and genome-based biological sex", has been approved by parliament, which two-thirds is controlled by the sovereign advisor, Viktor Orban.
From now on, transgenders and intersex people in Hungary will not be able to change identity documents by changing their name and gender identity.
