A massive screening campaign, concerning "nearly a thousand civil servants", will be carried out this week within the central police station of Lille after the identification of three cases of Covid-19 positive.

A first case of infection with the coronavirus was confirmed by a staff on Sunday and "the contact tracing implemented within the framework of the health strategy test-trace-isolate , allowed to identify the same day two additional positive cases", indicates the northern prefecture in a press release.

The Hauts-de-France Regional Health Agency (ARS), responsible for "identifying and investigating clusters", therefore organizes from Wednesday, and until the end of the week, a "campaign of screening of all staff of the central police station ”.

"Nearly a thousand civil servants are concerned by this screening, which will take place in the premises of the police station" and "will be provided by a team made up of health professionals from the Lille University Hospital and liberal nurses".

"All positive staff and close contacts must respect isolation measures," added the prefecture, while the "three patients" and identified contact persons have already been placed in the fortnight.

According to France 3 Hauts-de-France, a situation was observed in Arras (Pas-de-Calais), with three other police officers also positive. The tests are already underway.
