The Higher Education Council has taken several new measures related to the open education system, the postgraduate study, the educational qualification diploma, and student enrollment in universities.
According to decisions of the Council, SANA received a copy of it today. The student who wishes to apply to the open education comparison is charged with paying a financial advance of twenty five thousand Syrian pounds. This advance is not returned if he is accepted in the comparison and whether or not he completed the registration procedures. This advance is part of the student registration fees. .
The Council authorized students enrolled in open education to transfer between identical programs in universities subject to the provisions of the law regulating universities according to several conditions, which is to apply for transfer according to the dates specified in the university calendar and to obtain the approval of the deans of the colleges transferred from and transferred to it that the transfer of students from one university to another is limited to Similar programs in it.
According to the council’s decision, transferring for successful and transferred students to a year higher than the first year is permitted. Transfer may only take place once in the student’s university life, except for cases of extreme necessity whose assessment is due to the university’s council to which conversion is required. Also, conversion in the last year is not permitted except for new students In this case, the student shall be charged with all the decisions of the last year in the university to which he is transferred, even if he was successful in it at the university from which he was transferred.
According to the decision, it is not permissible to register a student who has obtained the approval of the same transfer before conducting the equivalence of decisions, and he is not exempt from the decisions of the last year even if he was successful with it at the university from which he was transferred.
The Council allowed the student who was accepted as a result of the postgraduate studies comparison and whose registration was canceled due to his progress to this comparison in more than one university at the same time to apply to the comparison again after two years have passed since the date of his registration being canceled from the degree and to pay the parallel education fees in the event of his acceptance in the general comparison And the weak parallel education fees if accepted in the parallel education comparison.
The Council decided to adopt several foundations regarding the preference for the educational qualification diploma in universities is that the results of the admission comparison in the diploma be issued before the start of the academic year and that the date for the start of study in the educational qualification diploma with the start of studies in the first university stage and the non-acceptance of conditional requests.
The Council allowed the student admitted to the educational qualification diploma to apply to the postgraduate study in the same year and pay the parallel education fees in the event of his acceptance and to register his enrollment in the degree of the educational qualification diploma if he was registered.
With regard to registering students in universities, the Council agreed to continue enrolling in public universities for old and new students admitted in the academic year 2019-2020 who were unable to register until today starting from 1-6-2020 until the end of the official working hours from 15-6-2020 nor The student may take the exams only after showing the receipt of payment.
