Reverse all! The inhabitants of four towns in the Morbihan region will hardly have had time to take advantage of the waterfront walks. Only a few days after their reopening on the basis of a prefectoral exemption, the beaches of Erdeven, Damgan de Billiers and La Trinité-sur-Mer have been closed again since Wednesday evening. So decided their mayors who very badly experienced the return of the crowd last weekend.

Impossible to enforce the rules of social distancing and the principle of beaches in dynamic mode, that is to say without putting down your towel. Too many people have flouted the taboos by sticking together, letting their dogs roam free at the expense of nesting areas, or fishing on foot when it is prohibited. Municipal facilities have even been destroyed.

Elected and insulted gendarmes

“My elected officials went to the beach to do education and they were insulted, so I asked them to come back so that it does not degenerate. I asked the gendarmerie services to intervene on our territory, they also told me insults towards them, ”laments the mayor of Damgan, Jean-Marie Labesse, on Facebook.

Deprived, he adds: "The observation is that everyone has done as they please and that unfortunately we are unable to enforce the health guidelines established by the government." With the Ascension Bridge which promises to be sunny, other municipalities fear overflows and could also back pedal according to the prefecture of Morbihan.

In a press release, the municipality of La Trinité-sur-Mer specifies that all the beaches (Port-Biren, Ty Guard, Kervillen, Poulbert, Men-Du) will remain closed until Friday, May 29 inclusive.
