The government continues its mea culpa towards the healthcare world. During his speech this Wednesday, the Minister of Health Olivier Véran acknowledged that the State was "neither fast enough nor strong enough" to respond to the persistent discomfort in French hospitals.
The minister, himself a doctor, promised "extensive measures" and "to a certain extent radical" to meet the demands of the caregivers mobilized during the episode of covid-19.
"This will go through an increase in hospital salaries" and "by calling into question certain shackles which prevent those who wish to do so from working more, sometimes differently," he said.
"This will still require better promotion of teamwork and therefore also of acquired skills", he continued, acknowledging that the French health system is "not efficient enough".
