(ANSA) - BRASILIA, MAY 21 - The number of deaths due to virus in Brazil has grown by 120% in two weeks, with a sharp increase in cases especially in the state of Rio de Janeiro and in the provinces of the Amazon region. In Rio, the number of deaths for Covid-19 went from 1,205 recorded on 6 May to 3,237 yesterday, with a 270% increase, according to a report from the news portal UOL. San Paolo and Rio, both in the south-eastern region, remain the states most affected by the disease. (HANDLE).
