Coronavirus: less than one case per 100 swabs, is the lowest figure

The percentage of positives on swabs performed has never been so low: with 665 new infections out of 67,195 tests carried out in the last 24 hours, it is 0.98%. In short, less than one coronavirus infected per 100 swabs. If the cases of repeated swabs are excluded, over 40% of the total, and only the new cases tested are evaluated, the percentage rises to 1.7%, however to minimum levels (on April 26 it was 9.6%) .

Eight regions have not reported coronavirus victims in the past 24 hours in Italy , according to Civil Protection data. These are Trentino Alto Adige, Sicily, Abruzzo, Umbria, Sardinia, Valle d'Aosta, Basilicata and Molise.

There are 227,364 people infected with coronavirus in Italy, 665 more than yesterday . Of these 85,775 in Lombardy, which registered 294 more than yesterday. The figure currently includes positives, victims and healed. Yesterday the national increase had been 813. The figure was disclosed by civil protection. Four regions and an autonomous province do not register new cases: Umbria, Valle d'Aosta, Molise, Basilicata and the autonomous province of Bolzano.

There are 62,752 coronavirus patients in Italy, 2,377 less than yesterday , when the drop had been 1,424.

These are the data disclosed by the Lombardy Region.

Since the beginning of the epidemic in Emilia-Romagna there have been 27,364 cases of positivity, 50 more than yesterday, against 6,162 swabs carried out, which thus reached a total of 274,362 . There are 11 new deaths, however, which bring the total to 4,008. The data, updated at 12, were disclosed by the Region. There are 271 new healings today (18,258 in total), while active cases continue to decline, that is, the number of actual patients who have now fallen to 5,098 (-232 compared to yesterday). There are a total of 4,376 people in solitary confinement at home, 185 fewer. ICU patients are 96 (-3). Those hospitalized in the other Covid wards also decreased (-44). The new deaths concern 1 resident in the province of Piacenza, 2 in that of Parma, 1 in that of Reggio Emilia, 1 in that of Modena, 2 in that of Bologna (none in the Imola area), 1 in that of Ferrara, 1 in that of Forlì-Cesena (in the Forlivese), 2 in that of Rimini. No deaths among residents in the province of Ravenna and from outside the Region. (HANDLE).
