Paris: "The quays of the Seine, that's all we have left" to go out

2020-05-22T06:59:00.849Z

Parisians rush to the riverside to spend their evenings. The capital's parks and gardens are still closed.

Public holiday, extended weekend, summer sun, unconfined population, but closed parks ... And very busy Seine quays. Thursday evening, for example, between the Pont Louis-Philippe and the Pont de Sully (Paris IV), many Parisians and Ile-de-France residents had once again met in the heart of the capital to share a drink.

If, overall, the groups of guests tried to respect physical distance, this was not the case everywhere, and very few people wore masks. After the images of the crowded Saint-Martin canal on the first day of deconfinement, those of the Invalides the day before, the Parisians gathered on the banks of the Seine that we interviewed gave us their point of view. They express in particular their incomprehension to see the parks and green spaces always closed.
