(ANSA) - NEW YORK, MAY 23 - A major fire has developed at Pier 45 in San Francisco with flames threatening a historic WWII boat anchored nearby. More than 100 firefighters are working to contain the flames that probably flared up in a warehouse. At the moment there are no reports of injured people and everyone, even in nearby areas, has been evacuated. A third of Fisherman's Wharf "has been lost in the flames," according to the San Francisco Fire Department. IlFisherman's Wharf is one of the tourist areas par excellence of the city for its museums and restaurants and because many of the ferries to the island of Alcatraz depart.
