On Sunday, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation will launch a new docu-reality series called "We'll Meet Again," which deals with families in which one member of the family repented and severed ties.

At the center of the series are five people between them and a close family member who became severed following his repentance, and are ready to go on a journey to reconnect with the family member. They begin their journey living in the ultra-Orthodox Mea Shearim neighborhood for nine days, where they each meet a repentant who mediates the ultra-Orthodox world and also becomes a "messenger" for the reconciliation process.

For the first 36 hours they are not allowed to talk to anyone but to observe and study, and after seven days the ultra-Orthodox envoy leaves to meet the detached family member. At the end of the journey, the two have to decide if they want to regain the lost relationship.

"We chose to get into something very powerful and inspiring in Israeli society," says Elad Kuperman, creator of the series and its producer (the series is the first project of Kuperman's new production company and Shira Margalit). "It started when I sat down with two repentant directors, Braslavs, Uri Groder and Ohad Galouz, and we started looking for a concept. We invented a unique and very exciting format. Make peace, let's first learn the place you avoid it. "

Was it easy to cast people into the show?

"It's one of the toughest castings we've had. Things only worked out in the 90th minute. It's hard to cast people who have no financial interest or desire to be published, and who have to deal with a wound that needs to be treated."

And there is not necessarily reconciliation at the end of the process.

"That's right. We told ourselves that we are going into this process without knowing what the other party will say or do. You are taking a risk - and that is the power of this project. Opening the cameras, and whatever it is - will be."

How did you manage to bring cameras and photography teams into the ultra-Orthodox society?

"At first there were communities that said 'no' but with a belief that we were coming to make peace. There were many who opened the door for us and said 'we are going with you.' There were difficulties, but we respected the other side. The women had a separate photography team, made up only of women, and About dress code. We have come to respect the community that lives a certain way of life. "

One of the participants in the series is a familiar figure for sports and reality enthusiasts: Jacob Buzaglo, 62, the father of footballers, the man who heads the family that stars in the "Bozgloss" program in Yes. Buzaglo has been in detachment for 30 years with his brother who has repented. The last time they met was 13 years ago, but even then they were unable to communicate and complete.

"It all started when I was a member of the Daily Report panel (Network 13 - MAG program) and started talking about religious coercion," Buzaglo says. "I said I have a brother who is younger than I was a year ago, who tried to force religion on me many years ago because he repented, and since then we are not talking. The next day I got a call from here, and the rest is history. The truth is, I should not forget that it is my brother. And I have loved him all my life. I was born into a traditional family, even I was the most religious child until I was 13, so I realized that I was destined to be a footballer and it was difficult for me to continue with religion and prayers on Saturdays. How did the disconnect from your brother happen?

"When he repented, of course I gave the blessing. I thought he was going the way he found fit and congratulated him, but that was not the case. He wanted the environment to be like him, and I started to hear all kinds of things I didn't like. He didn't like my kids Going to football, and that bothered me, so in the end I decided to move away. When my mother passed away, 13 years ago, we met with the thought of moving the seven together, but that day I re-watched and packed my suitcase and returned home. "

Your colorful character, whom everyone knows from the screen, takes on a different dimension here.

"Without a doubt, I think to this day no one knows who Jacob Buzaglo really is."
