(ANSA) - ISLAMABAD, MAY 24 - Pakistan has recorded 2,164 new cases of coronavirus and 32 deaths in the last 24 hours: the Ministry of Health of the country has announced today.
The new balance brings the total number of contagions to aquota 54,601 and that of deaths to 1,133. In the previous 24 hours 1,744 new cases had died and 34
died. So far a total of 17,198 people have recovered, of which 545 in the last 24 hours. At least 257 patients, eight more than yesterday, are in critical condition.
Pakistan today celebrates the Eid al-Fitr holidays and the premier Imran Khan has launched an appeal to the population to "rigidly" respect social distancing during the holidays, including periods of "prayer".
