D-Day has also arrived for gyms, swimming pools and sports centers. In most of Italy the doors will reopen tomorrow. Very few exceptions such as Lombardy which will resume on May 31, Basilicata which has postponed the opening until June 3 and the municipal swimming pools of Bologna which will remain closed until the end of May. Phase 2 of the sporting activities are governed by the updated guidelines approved by the Conference of the Regions, implemented in detail through ad hoc protocols to guarantee safe training for clients and instructors.
For all, the mantra will become the booking of courses and lessons, to avoid gatherings as much as possible and better manage the new legal obligations. In particular, the main innovations concern the distances to be kept (at least 2 meters when doing exercises in the gym, at least 7 square meters as the surface of water per person in the pools, at least 1 and a half meters for people sitting on deck chairs and beds if not are living together); disinfection of the tools after each customer has used them, otherwise it is better not to use them (ditto for floats, deck chairs and beds in the pool); the use of 'dedicated' shoes for those who go to the gym and the use of changing rooms reduced to the bone. Disinfectant gels and possibly thermoscanners will also emerge to measure body temperature, with data recorded and stored for 14 days. The interior is accessed with the mask, which should not be used for physical activity.
