The Ministry of Health of the Nation confirmed this Sunday four new deaths from coronavirus, bringing the number of fatalities in the country to 449.

Alejandro Costa, Undersecretary of Health Strategies, assured that the case fatality rate is 3.9% and that the general mortality rate remains at 9.8 cases per million inhabitants. Meanwhile, the average age of the deceased is 75 years.

In his daily report, the official also indicated that 11,353 people were affected by the disease and that 3,530 had already been discharged.

On the last day, 704 new positive cases were registered, of which 98% correspond to the metropolitan area. In fact, in 19 provinces there were no new infected and Formosa and Catamarca have remained positive since the start of the pandemic.

Regarding the tests, Argentina has carried out 129,418 tests, 3,525 in the last 24 hours. With these figures, it follows that the country already performs 2,855 tests for every million inhabitants.
