The City of Buenos Aires will have from next Tuesday a new phase of social isolation, preventive and compulsory due to the coronavirus pandemic. And that stage will come with some modifications, with respect to the previous one, which is still in force. This Sunday, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta spoke at a press conference and announced the changes due to the high number of positive cases that were registered in the AMBA in recent days.

"We made decisions based on the data, the evidence, the experience that we are collecting from other cities in the world. We said at some point that the peak was going to arrive and today the evidence shows us that it is coming, " said the Chief of Government at the beginning. "We have had two sustained weeks of increases in infections," he justified.

The first of the points that the Head of Government marked is the restriction on mobility, which will go hand in hand with what was announced by the Nation and in conjunction with the Province of Buenos Aires. "We are going to further increase controls. It is a focus of contagion," he said.

Among the new measures, it was established that there will be greater control in the 36 accesses enabled to enter or leave the Federal Capital, with 430 traffic agents and 250 City police. Movement there will only be allowed for essential workers.

In addition, Larreta confirmed that "we are going to have 11 train stations closed" , in addition to "continuing to strengthen the entrance to the subways". And he warned that "the permit that the City had given is no longer valid" and that a new one will have to be sacrificed.

Regarding the new permit to circulate, the Head of Government warned that "a comprehensive re-registration of all permits is being carried out." That means that "the permit that was there is no longer valid". This re-registration must be done before 05/29/2020, through https://www.argentina.gob.ar/circular or the Caring app, both in charge of the National Government.

The second point that Rodríguez Larreta touched on is the limitation of commercial activity in the busiest areas of the city, with the closure of some of the businesses that had recently opened their doors.

"The essential stores will continue to be open throughout the City, which are those of food and medicine. What is restricted is the stores that we have added in the last two weeks. It is only restricted in places where there are crowds of people, " he said. the official.

It will be in the areas that represent 80% of the agglomeration of people in the City, such as Once, Av. Avellaneda or the area of Scalabrini Ortiz and Córdoba. What is maintained is the neighborhood trade, the local trade, which can be reached on foot.
