(ANSA) - HONG KONG, MAY 24 - Hong Kong police arrested 40 demonstrators today demonstrating against national security law under discussion at the Beijing People's Congress. The same city-state authorities have announced this.
During the morning thousands of people joined the protest and the police, in addition to tear gas, used pepper sprays and water cannons to try and disperse them. Face-covered demonstrators erected improvised barricades to block the passage of police vehicles.
