(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 24 - Councilor Dominic Cummings "acted in compliance with the rules" in moving to Durham: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson had said in opening his press conference in front of Downing street, going immediately to requests from more parts that ask for the head of Cummings. Johnson said he understood the problems of a parent and a husband, stating that Cummings "only followed a father's instincts."
Johnson said Britain is ready to enter 'phase two', easing some of the lockdown measures, including reopening some, but not all, schools from June 1st. A re-opening which must be 'cautious' will concern the elementary and primary classes, but not secondary school students. The prime minister said 118 deaths have occurred in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll in the United Kingdom to 36,793.
