Due to the corona virus pandemic , the final episodes of Season 4 of "Riverdale" could not be completed. However, the makers want to catch up and broadcast the episodes in advance of the planned 5th season *. In an interview with TVLine magazine, producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa revealed what the absence of the remaining episodes means for the characters FP Jones and Hermione Lodge . Skeet Ulrich and Marisol Nichols had long ago announced that they would turn their backs on the series (see below).
His answer should make the fans happy: In the remaining episodes of season 4, the two characters will appear one last time . And he has other news: "The truth is, and that's not a spoiler now, neither Hermione nor FP will die ." So there is hope that Skeet Ulrich and Marisol Nichols will once again have short "Riverdale" appearances in the future - if the performers want to return.

Two actors leave Riverdale
The actors are Marisol Nichols , who plays Veronica's mother Hermione Lodge . Skeet Ulrich has also announced his farewell. He is currently seen as Jughead's father, FP Jones . The two actors will appear in the remaining episodes of season 4. However, you are no longer in front of the camera for the already confirmed 5th season.

What will become of the "Riverdale" characters Hermione Lodge and FP Jones?
Hermione Lodge and FP Jones aren't the first characters fans have to say goodbye to. After Luke Perry's death , his character Fred Andrews was also removed from the series *. In addition, the character Jughead could suffer a difficult fate *. Season 4 clues indicate that he will die. That would mean the end of the series for actor Cole Sprouse .
Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa , however, hopes that Hermione and FP won't have to fear a dramatic death.
