After the beginning of the month, Seinfeld fans mourned the death of Jerry Stiller, who played George's father, Frank Costanza, now comes another hard line with the death of actor Richard Heard, who played Mister Wilhelm, the boss of George.
Hurd, 87, died of cancer illness complications, surrounded by his family's home in Los Angeles, the Hollywood Reporter's wife for 40 years, actress Patricia Crowder, confirmed.
Heard is particularly remembered for his role in Seinfeld, where, as mentioned earlier, he played for 11 episodes Mr. Wilhelm, who was George Costanza's manager while working for the Yankees.
"It was easy. It was fun, it was inviting," he once said in an interview about his Seinfeld audition. "When I was done, I turned around and said 'Listen, I hope it doesn't matter to you, but I'm a fan of the Red Sox (a well-known American baseball team),' and they threw their scripts at me. The day after they called and asked me to come."
