(ANSAmed) - BEIRUT, MAY 28 - Groups of anti-government activists and demonstrators gathered today in the center of Beirut on the occasion of a new session of parliament, in the context of the anti-government protests under way since October. The Lebanese parliament met last April, at a temporary location on the outskirts of Beirut because of the anti-Covid-19 measures, and even then there were complaints. Today's rally took place along the ring road that connects the center of Beirut with the western part of the city. The aim was to try to prevent the flow of convoys of cars from deputies heading for the building where parliament was held.
