Two other airlines announced Thursday the resumption of flights to Israel - Austrian and Brussels. Both companies belong to Lufthansa Group, Europe's largest airline, which is also expected to resume flights to Israel.

Austrian and Brussels will operate three weekly flights each. The Belgian company will operate three weekly flights from Brussels and the Austrian three weekly flights from Vienna. The companies will resume operations from June 15 on the Tel Aviv line.

The two companies are joining a long line of airlines announcing their return to Israel including Air Canada, Lufthansa, Alitalia, Delta and more.

It is important to note that as of now, anyone entering Israel must stay for two weeks in isolation. Only Israeli citizens can enter the country. The decision is valid until June 15 and is expected to be extended.

As we reported yesterday, senior officials at the aviation industry are disappointed by the Ministry of Health's conduct, headed by Prosper Sigal Sadecki and Professor Itamar Grotto, who are making decisions on the issue slowly, and are not taking any concrete steps other than talking about possible destinations that we can fly to and from which we can get billions without a need for travel.

At present, there is no expectation of opening state gates to tourists from any country in the world, despite the desire of quite a few countries for such agreements with the State of Israel, of countries with a similar rate of morbidity in Israel.
