Definitely miss the Boston Marathon. It is the first time in the 124-year history of the race, which is held every year on the third Monday of April. Due to the pandemic the marathon had been postponed to September 14th but, in light of developments, Mayor Marty Walsh decided that it would not be safe to have it run.
The marathon contributes more than $ 200 million annually to the Boston economy. About 30 thousand people participate. Meanwhile, the fate of the New York marathon remains uncertain. The race remains scheduled for November 1st, but the organizers have already canceled all events until August 15th. Any decision will be made by that date.
This year the New York marathon, called the most beautiful race in the world, celebrates its 50th edition.
