The DGS has counted 66 new deaths in hospitals in the last 24 hours. "With regard to social and medico-social establishments, Public Health France will update the data relating to deaths on Friday, May 29," said the DGS.
15,208 people are hospitalized for a Covid-19 infection and 253 new admissions were recorded in 24 hours. 1,429 patients with a severe form of new coronavirus are hospitalized in intensive care. 36 new serious cases were admitted to intensive care.
A test positivity rate of 2%
The balance remains negative in intensive care, with 72 fewer patients compared to Wednesday. 4 regions (Ile de France, Grand-Est, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Hauts-de-France) account for 73% of patients hospitalized in intensive care. In overseas France (Guadeloupe, Guyana, Reunion, Martinique, Mayotte), there are 116 hospitalizations, including 19 in intensive care.
The publication of the results of the screening information system (SIDEP) shows a test positivity rate of 2%. Surveillance of pediatric multi-system inflammatory syndromes reveals 178 reports since March 1, 2020, of which 109 cases (61%) have a confirmed or probable link with the disease.
Since the start of the epidemic, 101,220 people have been hospitalized, including 17,875 in intensive care. 67,191 people returned home. 28,662 people died, including 18,326 in hospitals.
