Financing on us: It sounds a bit puzzling, but the neighboring island government has announced it will cover the costs of accommodation, food and medicine for tourists who find sick during their vacation on the island. Payment will include their families. Meaning: Patients will only have to pay for the trip to the airport and the flight back to their home.
The hospital in Nicosia has already allocated an entire wing with 100 beds to which only foreign tourists will be diagnosed as blue. At the same time, about 112 ICUs equipped with about 200 respirators will meet the needs of patients who will be in a human condition. At the same time, one of the city's hotels with 500 rooms was converted to the Corona Hotel, to which the close relatives of the patients and other relatives will be referred.

The commitment was distributed by the Cypriot government to governments, airlines and travel companies and contains the strict health and hygiene guidelines that the government implements to bring travelers back to a country whose economy is based largely on foreign tourism (about 13%).
At the same time, Cyprus is expected to be the first country to open its doors to Israeli tourists. The country's hotels are expected to open as early as June. And what about Israeli tourists? They will probably have to wait until the end of the month.
On June 9, the first international flight at Nicosia Airport is scheduled to follow guidelines such as conducting a corona test about three days before arrival on the island, signing a health statement and apparently wearing a mask throughout the flight to the island.
At the same time, another issue that will affect the entire inbound and outbound tourism industry in Israel is the isolation issue back to Israel. In the coming days, a decision is expected to be made regarding certain countries whose returnees will not have to enter isolation. Cyprus and Greece are also likely to be on the list.
