Every day, Le Parisien mobilizes to answer your questions around the coronavirus. We are interested today in the questioning of one of our readers, who wants to know if she can accompany her husband by car, who must travel for work more than 100 km from their home.
In this first phase of deconfinement, moving in pairs by car is not prohibited. However, social distancing should be respected. "In the car, the barrier gestures are the same as for in the street", had hammered the Minister of the Interior, Christophe Castaner.
However, if you have to travel beyond a radius of 100 km around the home, only business trips or for compelling reasons are authorized. Only your husband, who travels as part of his work, is therefore free to drive.

However, if you accompany your husband for a compelling reason, you are in theory authorized to accompany him: for example, if your husband cannot drive his vehicle (for health reasons, if he has lost his driving license, etc.). In this case, be sure to bring a special travel certificate and all the documents that can justify this reason.
We also invite you to follow the announcements by Prime Minister Édouard Philippe, who will unveil the outlines of the second phase of deconfinement, scheduled for June 2, on Thursday, May 28: certain movement restrictions may be lifted.
