(ANSA) - MODENA, MAY 28 - The online fashion group YooxNet-a-porter bets on new technologies and together with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Unimore) creates an laboratory dedicated to artificial intelligence and to the 'computer vision' applied in the fashion field. Through the same university, the group will participate in theolding @ home project which allows citizens and companies to "donate" their calculation capacity to the scientific community for projects related to Covid-19 research.
Yoox Net-a-porter's three-year collaboration with AlmageLab, Unimore's artificial intelligence research center, has led to a research program that will be led by Rita Cucchiara, director of the National Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence. The research will focus primarily on the 'Visual Search', the search for images, and on the 'VirtualTry-On', to improve the virtual trial experience of the garments.
