(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 27 - MILAN, MAY 26 - A "true industrial pole" which, when fully operational, will produce 800 thousand masks per day and work on eight "technologically advanced machinery" will be 320 prisoners from the prisons of Bollate, Rebibbia and Salerno. It is the '#ricuciamo' project, born from a partnership between the extraordinary Commissioner for the emergency Covid and the Department of penitentiary administration of the Ministry of Justice and which was presented today in the Milanese prison of Bollate, where the first two cars have already arrived. Thus was born, as explained by the head of DapBernardoPetralia, "a production site of excellence with quality certifications" and thanks to which "each machine will go on to produce 100 thousand masks per day".
Machines that, among other things, in the future, depending on the need, may also be converted for other productions. In the three houses of imprisonment, explained ErnestoSomma, head of the team 'incentives conversion' of the Commissioner for the emergency, take shape, therefore, "the verirepartiindustrial for an efficient production of masks equindidalle three prisons will be provided a contribution to the country." Only in Bollate, where there will be 4 cars in total (the other 4 in the other two penitentiaries) and up to 400 thousand masks per day will be produced, will "89 prisoners" initially be engaged, as told by the director CosimaBuccoliero, who accompanied Petralia and Somma to visit the shed where there are the first two machines for production.
