This story has it all, political and legal drama and a huge accumulation of emotions that are just waiting to explode - and the potential of this luscious script called Benjamin Netanyahu's biography has also recently been unveiled in Hollywood.
Screenwriter Kirk Ellis, who previously worked on the "John Adams" mini-series for the HBO Network on its second US president, has garnered four Golden Globe Awards and 13 Emmy Awards - more than any other series in history, now working on a series that tells its story Of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The series, produced by Fremantle Production Company which controls Israeli production company Abbott Meiri by Eitan Abbott and Guy Meiri, will simply be called "Bibi".
The series is based on Ben Caspit's bestselling book "Netanyahu: Biography", which tells Netanyahu's life story from his childhood in Jerusalem, through the loss of his late brother June Netanyahu, his years in the US to his term as prime minister, with profound touches on his career His political and revealing glimpse into his private life, which includes, among other things, a review of his relationship with his parents, his past relationships, and a poignant look at his recent family life with his wife and children.
"I am thrilled and proud to bring this story to life," noted Kirk Ellis and Israeli producer Guy Meyeri, adding that the "Bibi" series will be "an epic political story with a philosophical and psychological statement and at the same time be a scandalous family melodrama that will explore how personal can become political and vice versa."
The project has already managed to generate a lot of interest in the global media and now it remains to be seen who the actor is expected to play the lead role.
